Environment in music, video and TV

There isn´t very many music where you can hear anything about environment or ecology. But you can find some songs where about it. And so it is in video and TV too.

I know one foreign singer who wrote one song aboud environment . His name´s Michael Jackson and the song was called The Earth song . I don´t like Jackson´s music very much but this song is quite good.

In this song is Michael thinking about future of our planet and in the video clip of this song there are pictures of dead animals (for example an elephant that was killed for his tusks) and dead people(in a war). But at the and of the clip a wonder happens and all is right. An elephant lives again, man who lied dead in the street gets up and goes away. But it´s not so easy.

 In our (czech) music history one of the most famous groups made even the album full of texts about environment, but I have never heard it, thet´s why I won´t write about it.But I can remember our group Framus 5 that made a song about time after a nuclear explosion. The singer "returns" to past where girls have hair and only Sun can irradiate you . This song was written as a warning because in the cold war there was still threat of atomic conflict.

Environment in video

You can see environment in TV quite often, but in video or cinema it´s so ordinary as it´s in music. I know 2 films where you can see something about it: Erin Brokovich and . The film Erin Brokovich is a story of one young secretary who works in advocate agency and helps to indemnify people who have troubles with one chemical factory thet poured out a poluted  water. Some people got ill and some even died. I can´t remember the name of the second film but it was film with Seven Segal. Main hero decided to destroy one big unecological oilrig and save the nature wealth of Alaska. It´s not very ordinary topic for film but I think time changes.
